Builderall Vs Wealthy Affiliate: Which Is The Best For You? [2020]

Do you want to start your online journey and you wanna find more about marketing platforms that can help you succeed?

Builderall vs Wealthy Affiliate – which is the better platform?

This is a question that comes up a lot.

Both are industry heavyweights. Both have been around for a long time. Users of both platforms swear by them. So, what is the truth? Read on to find the answer!

Builderall and Wealthy Affiliate are two different platforms that have different functions but also have some similarities as well. Builderall is a marketing platform that provides tools for marketers. At the same time, Wealthy Affiliate is mainly a coaching platform that provides coaching for affiliate marketing, website hosting, and an integrated keyword research tool.

In this article, we will do a deep-dive into both platforms and by the end of it, you will be able to make your choice depending on your needs and preferences.

But one important thing first.

There is not even a shadow of a doubt that both these products are genuine. Their track record shows that they have stood the test of time.

They are not “get rich quick” schemes, nor are they products to scam you off your hard-earned money. Irrespective of what you choose, you can rest assured that you will not be scammed.

What is Builderall

builderall logo

Builderall is a one-stop all-in-one marketing platform. Builderall claims to provide all the marketing solutions needed to launch a business in one place.

Builderall was created by Erick Salgado in 2011 to help online marketers run their businesses easily.

According to its official website, Builderall is striving to be the best digital marketing platform in the world. Builderall has been around since 2011 and thus it is no newbie to the world of marketing.

Builderall is very feature-rich and provides almost everything that a new business might need to set itself up and market itself.

Some of its features are drag and drop website builder, funnel builder for sales funnel, webinar hosting, and email automation. It also offers an affiliate marketing program as an option to its members.

All in all, Builderall provides a whole bunch of useful tools that help digital marketers automate and start and scale their businesses at a very affordable price.

What is Wealthy Affiliate

wealthy affiliate landing page

Wealthy Affiliate is a community-based online training forum with a monthly membership plan that teaches its members’ affiliate marketing. It combines training, in-built software (keyword research tool), and website hosting.

The idea is to be a one-stop destination for people who want to have a passive and recurring income source. It was started in 2005 and, therefore, it is well-established.

Wealthy affiliate focuses on affiliate marketing and how to make money online with blogging.

Builderall Vs Wealthy Affiliate Review

These marketing platforms are not similar to each other. However, they do have some similarities and we will try to bring them to the surface.

Similar Features

Both offer website hosting – Both platforms offer website hosting feature which means that you can build your website on the platform.

Builderall hosting provides the ability to connect up to 15 domains with 10 GB of disk storage. They have dedicated servers with automatic daily backup. You also get a free SSL certificate with every domain and their higher-priced plans also offer WordPress installation which is very important for blogging.

Wealthy Affiliate also provides website hosting features for up to 25 domains. Each domain receives an SSL certificate with 30 GB space. They also provide access to WordPress plugins, and the bandwidth is limited at 500k visitors per month.

Both are geared towards quitting the nine to five grind – Ideologically, both platforms propagate the same values – quit working for others and run your own business. While Builderall is focused more on giving you the tools needed for marketing your business to the world, WA is focused on teaching you to start your own business with blogging at its core.

Both have step by step training – Both platforms offer step by step training to ace the humongous material available on the platforms. The training on WA is focused on learning the in’s and outs of affiliate marketing and also the platform itself.

Builderall’s training focuses on videos that explain every feature inside the platform which is very important because Builderall has 32 features and it would be really hard for you to master it without any tutorials.

They also do show you some stuff for email marketing and affiliate marketing but let’s be honest, Builderall focus is to give you the tools. It is not a coaching platform.

Both have lucrative affiliate programs – Builderall’s affiliate program is a two-tiered program that can make you a ton of money. The overall concept is that the more money affiliates under you make, the more you also make but I will give you a more detailed analysis on their compensation plan later on.

Wealthy Affiliate’s affiliate program is a residual commission affiliate marketing model. It offers a free and paid option for you in order to take part in their affiliate program. Their free option gives you $11,75/month for every month your referral stays with Wealthy affiliate or $23,75/month if you are a paid member and your referral stays with WA. But, we will also discuss and compare both platform’s affiliate programs later.

Different Features

I want to make this clear that’s why I have said this quite a few times already. These platforms have more differences than similarities and the most important is that WA offer coaching while Builderall offers way more tools and features.

Both have different business models – Builderall markets itself as an all-in-one marketing solutions platform, whereas Wealthy affiliate brands itself as a coaching platform for learning affiliate marketing.

Both have different target audiences – Since both platforms have different business models, they also have different audiences.

Wealthy affiliate targets mostly beginners who are new to blogging or business and don’t have much idea about both. Builderall, on the other hand, mainly targets people who already have their own business set up and are looking to market the business.

Both give different toolsets – Builderall provides more than 30 tools/apps within its platform that take care of almost every marketing aspect that a virtual business might need.

This is not the case with Wealthy Affiliate. Wealthy Affiliate is dedicated to providing training to turn you into an affiliate marketer and their focus is on education and support via their vast network of members.

They provide you with customizable website themes, keyword research tool, and hosting in terms of tools. This is a significantly lesser number of tools than Builderall.

Builderall vs Wealthy Affiliate Features

We will now briefly talk about both platforms’ features. I won’t do this to compare them but for you just to have a general idea of what they offer even if they are not comparable.

Builderall vs Wealthy Affiliate pricing

When it comes to Builderall Vs WA pricing, both platforms offer attractive pricing for their benefits. Both platforms have a free plan, and both have relatively inexpensive pricing. You can cancel your subscription on both platforms at any time you wish to.

Builderall’s pricing

builderall pricing table
  1. Free Plan ($0/month)
  2. Builder plan ($19,90/month)
  3. Marketer plan ($29,90/month)
  4. Essential plan ($49,90/month)
  5. Premium plan ($69,90/month)

Builderall has a free plan where you can connect 0 domains, get up to 100 subscribers, get ticketing support and 1 GB disk space. Email marketing is a part of this plan but only 100 subscribers.

Builderall has several plans but they are all very inexpensive in my opinion. Think about it. Clickfunnels, which is Builderall’s main competitor, values its most inexpensive plan at $97/month and offers half of Builderall’s features.

Every Builderall pricing plan is good. But, the free and builder plan do offer only 100 subscribers for your email list so you might need to pay for a separate email marketing service which costs a minimum of $16/month. So, I suppose the Marketer’s plan is the most ”value for money” plan. However, it lacks the WordPress Installation.

If you do not want to build a website you will be ok with this plan but if you want a website WordPress is the king.

All in all, even the Premium plan is extremely cheap because you will not have to buy anything else to run a business. Running a whole business with $69/month is insane, isn’t it?

They also provide a 14-day free trial for you to see if you like the platform.

Wealthy Affiliate’s pricing

Wealthy Affiliate has also got a starter membership that costs you nothing. It is free to join and learn. They don’t ask for credit card details as well.

Premium membership will cost you $19 for the first month, and after that, it will be $49 per month. This covers the cost of website hosting and domain registration too. Paying yearly will cost you $359. This means you save a lot of money if you pay upfront.

But, which is my problem with WA pricing?

When you are starting, it is very good to only pay $49/month and have all this training and website hosting and builder. However, as time goes by, you will reach a point that you know everything around blogging and affiliate marketing but you will still need to pay $49/month and not less than that, mainly for just keeping your account and website live.

I currently have 6 websites and I have sold many more. I start all my websites on Bluehost which is very inexpensive ($3/month) and then if the website grows very much I go to WPX hosting. But, I don’t transfer all my websites to WPX hosting. I only transfer my huge websites and I leave everything else on my favorite hosting which is Bluehost.

This is the reason, I do not use Wealthy Affiliate. Why should you need to pay $49/month when you can pay $3/month? And why should I suggest you do so? To make a commission?

I am not that kind of person. I want to be crystal clear to you. Your cheapest option is your best option in this scenario.

I really believe being sincere can make a difference.

So, who is the winner?

Both platforms are really cheap and good. But, I would only recommend Builderall because of WA’s longterm cost.

Builderall vs Wealthy Affiliate Customer Support

support

When it comes to wealthy Affiliate, customer support takes place through a ticket-based system where you need to write about the issue you are facing.

There is no phone number to get in touch with someone. This is increasingly becoming a trend as more and more companies move towards automation. However, there is a much better and faster way to get answers to your queries in WA.

Wealthy Affiliate has a vibrant and responsive community for most of the queries that you are likely to have. So nine times out of 10, your question will have an answer from a community member in the WA forums.

On the other hand, Builderall offers 24/7 live chat support and also email support. There was one time that I couldn’t find a solution to something and I talked to them 3 times to solve this but most of the time they answer fast and they are knowledgable.

So, in this round, I think we have a tie. Both platforms offer good customer support.

But I would like to make a parenthesis here. If you have ever used Bluehost or you are going to do it, test their customer service. I haven’t seen anything like that in my entire life. I have asked them to do every little technical thing on my website and they always overdeliver.

One time, I was really devastated. I bought a new theme (I ”ll let you know its name is Acabado) but I couldn’t use my Thrive Themes plugin and I was wondering what was happening. I told this to Thrives and they were so late to answer. It was taking em 1 day or more to answer and they didn’t solve it.

They told me to check CDN. I stopped using CDN and the problem was still there.

I didn’t know what to do. My pop-ups, my forms, my buttons, my whole website didn’t work. I decided to contact Bluehost to find out if they know anything until Thrive answers.

I told them this was not their fault or anything but I told them ”guys tell me what to do, my website does not work, is it my theme or my plugins to blame or CDN or anything else?

In the beginning, they couldn’t find what is to blame but they called their most advanced support to help me and after half an hour that they were working on my website, they gave me the solution that the plugin was ok and I should uninstall the theme.

This is 100% a real story. Acabado theme is not compatible with Thrive Themes. I took a refund from Income School for Acabado and I told them to fix this. If you wanna take Acabado, make sure that you don’t use Thrive or ask them for it before you buy it.

I am sorry for this parenthesis but I wanted to show you how much I value customer support and why this should be a very important aspect when you choose your software and tools.

Builderall vs Wealthy Affiliate: Affiliate Programs

marketing

Builderall’s two-tier affiliate marketing program

We have briefly looked at Builderall’s affiliate program above. Let us look at in detail now.

You can join Builderall’s affiliate program without paying any fee. Once you have joined, here is how it works.

For every person you bring to Builderall you get 100% commission on their first month and, then, for every month they stay with Builderall you get 30%.

But, there is more to it. If your referral(the person you brought) brings another customer you also get paid. This time they get 100% of their customer first payment(as you did last month) and then both of you get 30% of what the customer pays every month.

Let me illustrate with an example.

You join the affiliate program and bring in a person called Adam. Adam buys a plan on Builderall. You get the entire cost of Adam’s pricing plan as your commission.

Hence, 100 % commission. For the following months, you also get 30% for every month that Adam stays with Builderall.

Now, Adam goes ahead and makes his first sale to someone. He takes 100% for the first month and you 0% but you and Adam get a 30 % commission from Adam’s sale for every month until Adam’s customer stays with Builderall.

This is not a one-time occurrence. Every time Adam makes a sale, you get 30 % of Adam’s sale. So, the basic concept is the more your affiliates make money, the more you also make.

That’s why I always use share funnels. I teach my potential buyers how to become good on marketing and how to use Builderall and I give them ready to use funnels. So, not only do they buy from my link but also they bring new customers and I get paid again.

Makes sense?

Wealthy Affiliate’s affiliate marketing program

WA is one of the most popular affiliate programs online.

They reportedly pay out $121 per sale(which is an estimated average).

The basic idea is that you send over free subscribers to the WA platform.

Whenever any of them join the premium program, that according to WA is 1 out 8 people, you get a commission for as long as that person remains a premium member. One of the affiliate program’s unique features is that you can communicate with your referrals within the platform and encourage them to convert to a premium member.

As a platform dedicated to affiliate marketing, when it comes to their affiliate marketing, they take it very seriously. You will see an affiliate link button on almost every page of WA.

Free affiliates earn $11,75/month for a sale and WA paying members get $23,75/month.

Conclusion

That’s it for the Builderall vs Wealthy Affiliate comparison.

By now, I hope you have the answer to your question of “Is Builderall worth it?” or “Is wealthy affiliate legit?”.

Both Builderall and Wealthy Affiliate are robust platforms in their respective domains. For most, it will boil down to personal preference. One system might feel better suited to your needs. Remember, there is no wrong choice. As long as one method works for you, you are fine.

However, for me, Builderall slightly pulls ahead of Wealthy Affiliate. Wealthy Affiliate’s most significant strength also becomes its biggest drawback as it is solely focused on training for blogging. This is not the case with Builderall because all the training tools on Builderall come in handy irrespective of what type of business you have.

If your heart is still set on learning affiliate marketing and earning commissions from it, then Legendary Marketer is a program I would recommend to check out instead of WA, especially since it comes at a fraction of WA’s cost.

Actually, I have written a complete review of Legendary Marketer vs Wealthy Affiliate if you search for a coaching platform.

And remember, there is a free Builderall 14-day trial that gives you access to all its features. Try it out to get the hang of the platform.
